Wish I had the words to make this message as special as Col. Howard deserves. Thank God for this man! May he rest in peace!

It is with a calming presence that I read of the numerous acts of bravery of Col. Howard. Unless we can recall and reflect on these "true heroes", we risk forfieting the liberty and freedoms purchased with previous blood. Thank you for your service.

This is the one man I wanted to be most like when I grew up. He was always a hero! I had the privilege of serving with him as my commander in Charlie 1/75 and at the Mountain Ranger camp. No one has ever had more of an affect on me than this man. God rest your soul! Sir!

I live in Opelika Alabama, and it is a crying shame to so few Americans know who this man was and what he fought for. I personaly have met Mr. Howard and I can't think of a finer example of an American out there. Rest in Peace sir!

Thank you Bob for making my and my families life free. No words will ever express what true Americans owe you or any of our service men and women. My only regret is that I never had the chance to shake your hand and welcome you home. God bless this man and his family.
